the-old-rectory-garden-sudborough---spring-garden

A lot has happened in The Old Rectory Gardens, Sudborough over the winter months, to continue the reawakening of this beautiful English garden. We are just finishing an extension to the recently created Gravel Garden, which has completely transformed an overgrown corner. We’re working flat out to finish creating an arbour with a Moorish theme to complete this area and breathe new life into the Rose Circle. The borders and our Potager will be full of new plants, adding a range of textures and colour ready for us to open on Tuesday, 1 April – when the Spring flowers will be in full bloom – then every Tuesday and Thursday until the end of September. The Old Potting Shed will be open throughout selling homemade cakes, plants and garden related gifts.

New Events
For 2019 we are very excited to be extending our courses, introducing craft workshops all around the theme of Garden to Table. From Creating Tablescapes to Screen Printing Tablelinen, to run alongside the Gardening Masterclasses* run by our head gardener, (*these will appear in the Calendar as the season progresses).

Pop Up Restaurant

The Garden Menu – our Pop-up Restaurant run by the chefs from award-winning Nest and Harlequin restaurants, will be returning for a second year running from Monday 15th– Sunday  21st July. The Old Rectory Gardens, Sudborough, will become home – and kitchen – to this exciting London enterprise, using produce from the garden for a truly unique experience. See short video below. Click here for Bookings and further information.

This is only the beginning! We are hoping to add more exiting courses as the season progresses. Read on for all of the details and we’ll keep you up-to-date on progress in the garden in my next post.
